Bird Watching

The group meets Monthly on the Third Monday from 09.30am for car sharing.
Several members of the West Midland Bird Club have volunteered to act as guides on our field trips to help locate and identify the birds. At Blithfield in February we benefited from their powerful telescopes to ensure the best possible views of the birds as well as a wealth of extra information about the various species. There have been several recent firsts for many of the group, including pied flycatcher, wood warbler, redstart and long eared owl.

The group offers a great opportunity to enhance birdwatching knowledge for both novice and experienced birdwatchers alike. Binoculars are available to borrow if requested prior to a trip.

New members are welcome to join the group, whether experienced or inexperienced bird watchers.
