Deaf Awareness

The group meets Monthly on the First Friday from 10.30am

The group seeks to open up, for members with hearing difficulties, more opportunities to impove their enjoyment of U3A activities.

During the last few months, the group has discussed: Issues affecting hearing and tactics to help, Hearing aids, Audiology, Personal aids, Tech and loops, Lip reading and Sign language.

The format is now changing and meetings will be informal coffee mortnings where members can join in the chat. Those affected by hearing loss will have an opportunity to voice their opinions on how Stafford U3A could help them improve their enjoyment of the groups they attend or would like to attend. Members can meet up with others with similar problems and perhaps exchange views on how things might be improved for everyone.

There will be information and advice on offer as well as the opportunity to meet new friends.

All are welcome to attend.
