|The University of the Third Age|
This group is only open to members living alone.
It is an opportunity to meet and have a chat with new people - good food and good company.
We meet for Lively Lunches in and around Stafford, for fish and chips, pub meals and meals at canal side eateries.
In June we were welcomed to the Canalside Farm Shop and Cafe at Great Haywood. After lunch we had a little shopping time in their farm shop with its own butchery. We were made very welcome and have re-booked for next season.
Our July lunch at Weston Hall was well attended. After eating inside, fortunately the weather was nice enough to sit outside on their terrace under the umbrellas (for the sunshine) and enjoy some time relaxing and chatting.
There are usually 24-28 members at our lunches at tables of six, so that we can chat and meet different people each time whilst enjoying friends from previous lunches.
If you live on your own and would like to have a friendly lunch out with other U3A members please do come and join us at about 12.00 noon on a Friday for a lively lunch.
