The group meets Weekly on Tuesday from 10.30
- First meeting 29th April.
In this new Meditation group we will practise various meditation techniques with the aim of developing mindfulness,
self - compassion and tranquillity.
Each session is broadly divided into three sections so that we cover meditation techniques to settle the mind,
then insight meditations and finish with compassion meditations. There is now much research into the importance
and benefits of Meditation and its physiological effects on the mind and body.
These techniques are ancient in origin but which are now validated by the latest scientific and psychological
research. The benefits of meditation are now widely recognized in the West. The Meditation is
non-denominational and is suitable for all faiths or none.
In the classes the meditations we practise are guided, and each meditation is explained beforehand and with
ample opportunity for class members to discuss the practice and reflect in a relaxed and supportive atomosphere.
This group welcomes new members and is suitable for beginner meditators.
