The Joy of Science

The group meets Second Friday from 10.00 to 12.00 Science and Technology for scientists and non-scientists

Topics chosen by members are discussed. These have included subjects as diverse as gravitational waves and lenses & prisms. The group comprises people with no scientific background as well as physicists, chemists, biologists and engineers, so whatever questions are asked, somebody knows the answer.

Programme
  • 11th January  Refrigeration
  • 8th February  What is Social Science
  • 8th March  Digestion and Digestive Diseases
  • April  Visit to Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre and Gardens, a joint visit with the Astronomy and Garden Groups. For more information, see the Garden Group page

There is still room in the group for more members and suggestions for future topics are welcome.
