The members who have attended the sessions held so far have enjoyed the content and results of silk painting, Shibori dying, marbling and creating special effects. This activity is all about fun; the ability to draw and paint is unnecessary; it is easier than writing and a lot more enjoyable. The rewards of the programme of workshops are silk scarves, silk beads, tissue sachets, lavender pillows, cards and book covers. The display of work at the Stafford U3A Open Day (see picture) is indicative of the work done in the group. Sessions will resume in the new year, dates to be notified to those who register their interest. Spaces for this activity are limited but please use the Contacts page to check on spare places.
