|The University of the Third Age|
We are a group of 11 which is just about right for the set of handbells we have. We play mainly for our own enjoyment but have several
"performances" throughout the year when we share our talent (or lack of it!) with interested groups. Sometimes, if fitting, members of
groups we visit like to try their hand at playing one of our simpler tunes. Although some are reluctant at first, they soon realise it's
not as taxing as they thought and they really enjoy the participation.
The music we play varies considerably from Old Time Music Hall tunes to themes of Bach and Tchaikowski. We thoroughly enjoy ourselves on Monday afternoons.
We would welcome invitations to play at functions and anyone interested in joining the group could be added to a very short waiting list.
